Aesthetic Components and Effects [ARC 3542]

Learning Outcomes

1. Possess control of unorthodox methods of physical modeling and 3-dimensional model making.
2. Discuss the fundamental effects of relevant contemporary arts movements on architectural discourse.
3. Evaluate environmentally.

In this project, I had opportunity to divulge into a sculptor's mindset that helps create stories through actively making in the studios by making a few experimental models, elemental sculptures and design a tower of dreams.

Sculpture 1:
A Filter/Device 01: Light/Heat
To make and sculpt an existing specimen of a sun light shielding/diffusing/reflecting (etc.) device of an existing building or a completely re-evaluated and originally conceived version/design.

Sculpture 2:
A Filter/Device 02: Air/Wind/Breeze
To make and sculpt an existing specimen of a physically fluid dynamic device of an existing building or a completely re-evaluated and originally conceived version/design.

Utilising Project Falcon by Autodesk, I intricated aero-dynamic arrangement of components that are layed out to influence flow and air-trajectories to exude poetry in motion. I have learnt to observe un-usual occurences in the airflow, and to use that to further exploration the element of air.
A device was made to imitate the mechanism.

Final Project which is to design a Tower of Dreams.
A Filter/Device 03: TOWER/SCULPT.CADE
To utilize skills and research garnered from weeks before to intricately produce a tower of dreams to show the potential of a environmentally friendly facade system.
